Gap narrows between SYTYCD seasons

Fox has moved up the new season of So You Think You Can Dance by a week.

Fox has announced that it has moved around some premiere dates for its Fall schedule, resulting in the gap between seasons of So You Think You Can Dance being even smaller. The show will now premiere a week earlier than previously scheduled, on September 9, 2009.

The dance competition is currently airing its fifth installment, and for the first time will air back-to-back seasons, resulting in a break of just over one month between the Season 5 finale and the Season 6 premiere.

So You Think You Can Dance will now start its 6th season on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at 8pm ET/PT.
