The CW has ordered five additional episodes of its new version of Melrose Place. The order for the ratings-challenged drama falls short of a full season, indicating that the network is likely taking the wait-and-see approach in hopes that ratings will improve.
The show could see a boost with the anticipated return of alum Heather Locklear in November.
