Southland renewed for a third season
TNT will be brining back the gritty cop drama for Season 3.

TNT has issued a press release with news that it has renewed Southland for a 10-episode third season. The cop drama, which started out on NBC, was originally canceled by the peacock network in 2009 due to low ratings.
When TNT picked up the show, it was originally speculated that they would simply air the already-produced episodes. However with the show now heading into its third season, its future looks much brighter.
Look for Season 3 of Southland to air beginning January 2011.
