The new mystery thriller has received a full season order.

NBC has announced that its freshman thriller "The Event" has been picked up for a full season. Ratings have been solid for the new series, which has so far seen a 30 percent improvement in its time period versus year-ago NBC programming in the 18-49 rating demographic.
