Is Fringe close to cancellation?

With a move to Fridays, the show's future is up in the air.

November 20, 2010

Fox has announced some scheduling changes, and has moved American Idol from Tuesday and Wednesday nights to Wednesday and Thursday nights at 8:00pm. Following the Idol results show will be Bones, which means that Fringe has been moved to Fridays at 9:00pm.

The show has been struggling in the ratings as of late, and this move could be a sign that this season will be its last. Fridays have a history of being the last stop for flaggling series.

The move takes effect on January 28, 2011. How Fringe fares in its final episodes of the season will surely determine whether Fox continues on with the show.

Fringe is a very unusual show very much like the Twilight Zone or the Outer Limits. Just with a modern day twist. Good acting and writing that leaves you hanging from week to week. I hope they will keep it but I believe that I am a little warped because I enjoy thinking programs that I hope can't really happen.

Im sure it will be, after 8 episodes we now have to wait till January.

I swear channels like fox are trying to kill these shows.
