It is being reported that Showtime has renewed Dexter for a sixth season. An official announcement from the network is expected in the near future.
The series, which follows a serial killer who also works for the Miami Police Department, is becoming a long-running mainstay on the network. The same report also suggests that a seventh season is likely for the show, citing that this sixth-season renewal will not be billed as its final season.
