It's lights out for "Lights Out". FX has decided not to renew its critically acclaimed, but low-rated, boxing drama for a second round. The news comes with two episodes remaining in the show's first season. Those episodes are still scheduled to air as planned on March 29 and April 5 in its regular 10:00pm timeslot.

"Lights Out" followed a former boxing champion eyeing a comeback to the ring. It debuted with high praise from critics but faltered in the ratings over the course of its run. Its first episode pulled in a mere 1.5 million viewers, which proved to be the high point of the show. It continued to drop viewers in subsequent episodes, leading to FX making the decision to pull the plug.
