The USA legal drama will return for a second season.
May 2, 2011
USA Network has announced that freshman series Fairly Legal has been renewed for a second season. This renewal has been expected for a couple of weeks now - the first clue coming when the network included lead star Sarah Shahi on the guest list for their upfront presentation scheduled for today.
Fairly Legal follows a San Francisco lawyer who changes careers to become a mediator. The series premiered on January 20 of this year on USA and aired 10 first-season episodes, averaging a 0.9 rating among adults 18-49. It was also the top new cable drama launch of the year in that same demographic.
Season 2 will increase the episode count to 13, with production set to begin this summer. No date has been set for the second-season premiere, but it is expected to kick off during the first quarter of 2012. Word is the creative direction of the show could change in hopes of drawing more viewers to the legal drama.

I hope that this show is renewed for the third season and that they put it on some night other than Friday to give it a better chance. Think the cast is terrific and that it is a refreshing change from all the shows these days on USA which are interchangeable.

Sadly, I have seen only one show, (union strike averted) before it was cancelled. I believe, it was one of the funniest and most watchable show this season. Why was it cancelled, why???

This show is amazing. It's one of the only shows on USA that has a leading female character. I think adding Ben was a smart move and it makes the show more interesting. I hope they make a third season >__< USA needs more girl shows! Covert affairs and Fairly Legal <3

They shouldn't have renewed this awful piece of fluff. The new direction it went for (seeing when she'll sleep with creepy new firm partener is absolutely icky) I won't waste my time on this one.

Bringing in the Ben Grogan carachter is a HUGE mistake in season 2. Hate him, am not watching anymore. Too bad I really enjoyed the first season. Now, forget it. Put her back with Justin.
