Brothers & Sisters Not Renewed After All

Reportedly close to a sixth season, ABC has instead cancelled the drama.

After a glimmer of hope last week when news broke of an imminent renewal of Brothers & Sisters, ABC has instead decided to cancel the series outright, making last Sunday's episode its series finale.

The news comes amongst a flurry of cancellations by the network. Also axed are V, Mr. Sunshine, No Ordinary Family, Off the Map, Better With You, and Detroit 187.

As for Brothers & Sisters, on May 5 we reported that the show was likely going to return for a final, abbreviated, season. The network and ABC studios were supposedly exploring avenues to bring back the show, but sadly for fans it was not to be. Brothers & Sisters ends after five seasons on ABC.
