ABC released its 2011-2012 television schedule today, and notably absent was its comedy Cougar Town, which was already renewed for a third season back in January.

Word now is that the show's return has been pushed to mid-season, which likely means a January or February 2012 premiere. ABC plans to air the Courtney Cox sitcom Tuesdays at 9:00pm in between seasons of Dancing with the Stars. Following it in the 9:30pm time slot will be new series Apartment 23.

Cougar Town's second season has two episodes left and will wrap up later this month. A new episode is scheduled for tomorrow, and its season finale will air May 25.

Such a great show! Keep it coming back. The characters are wonderful. The fantastic plots keep ringing true. One of the best ensembles ever. Penny Can!

Cougar Town has great writers and awesome cast and like you Betty am so happy is still on but too long to wait until later in the year to finally see new shows.

I love Cougar Town and I am just happy that it is still on, but I am still bummed with the fact that I have to wait that long to watch it.
