CSI is changing nights for the first time in 10 years. CBS announced the change today when it released its 2011-2012 television schedule, confirming the show's return for a twelfth season.

Premiering back in 2000, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation has been one of the network's top rated shows over the years, spawning two successful spin-offs in CSI: Miami and CSI: NY, both of which are returning in the Fall for their tenth and eighth seasons respectively.

When CSI returns in the Fall, it will move to Wednesdays at 10:00pm rather than its regular Thursday night slot. It will be preceded by Survivor at 8:00pm and Criminal Minds at 9:00pm.
