The new MTV comedy has been renewed after only four episodes.

MTV has renewed freshman series Awkward. for a second season. The show has been picked up for 12 episodes expected to air in early 2012.

Awkward. premiered last month has aired only four episodes of its first season. The renewal comes after the show scored its highest rating so far with a 2.0 among P12-34 - up 21% from its previous week. Seven new episodes remain in Season 1, with its next new installment airing tomorrow night.

MTV has been making moves lately with its various scripted series. Along with Awkward., Teen Wolf was also renewed for a second season last month, while The Hard Times of R.J. Berger was not so lucky, being cancelled just a few days ago.

i just love this show i can really relate to this show i fell like i am in the show when i am watching it and as soon as i watch it for the first start i was like dum but now if you keep watching it you know how cool it is and i love it *kiss* *kiss* alexandria

I had come across a repeat showing on a rainy day. I had not planned on liking it so much. I found myself addicted to the show....Hate to admit this but I am long, long past my late teen years. I love the case, the humor, the writers and absolutely LOVE Matty and Jenna. I am always cheering for Matty.

Just finished watching my recorded seasn finale and was devistated and hurt for Matty...I was hoping that in the season finale Matty would reveal more of his emotions....Can't wait for Season 2..... I am cheering and routng for Matty and Jenna to choose each other.

this is a good show but sometimes its wired i think it should relate to real teen stuff like degrassi does but im not the directr so do what you do i still love your show
