One episode of the medical drama will go unaired.
August 24, 2011
ABC has announced that the first-season finale of Combat Hospital has been moved up one week from September 13 to September 6. What this means for its fans is that one episode of the freshman medical drama will go unaired on the network.
The move also doesn't bode well for the future of the show - on US shores at least. Combat Hospital is a Canadian-produced series that also airs on Global Television in Canada. If ABC opts not to move forward with a second season of the show, it is quite possible that Global will pick it up.
A similar situation happened with drama The Listener, which NBC originally started airing for a Summer run in 2009, only to pull it from the schedule after a handful of episodes. The series continued on Canadian airwaves and was recently renewed for a third season.
As it stands, the future of Combat Hospital is unknown at this time, but ABC's decision to leave an episode of its first season on the shelf puts chances of a second one in serious doubt.

I just looked it up on another website. IT says that one of the stares said that it was cancelled. Apparently it is supposed to be the show with the most viewers to be cancelled after one season. But I hope that it isn't true.

This was a great show... Mash was on how many years and it wasn't as good as Combat Hospital... It was a good show but nothing compared to this show...who makes these decisions anyway? With all the cancellations it makes a person not even want to watch a new show for fear it will get cancelled also when we get really involved in it... Please bring this show back along with the missing episode....

Another stupid decision by the networks. This was a well-written human interest drama without all the blood and guts and mayhem forced on us by the all knowing program directors; I am disappointed but not surprised

This show was great. My mom and son spent several years overseas and watching this was like bringing their letters to life! It was a great drama that honored our heroes and showed the laughter and love that living in that world brings. We could lose all the reality shows I never watch them. Bring it back please.

This is an example of the networks not giving the viewers what they want and like. The epidsodes were well written and the actors and actresses were extremely good at playing their roles.
This is the kind of television show thatt veiwers like and to make an excellent point to ABC. Combat Hospital was in the top 10 shows every week it was on due to the viewers liking it so much. If you are smart you will bring it back.

I love this show - it is well cast, well written, well directed and entertaining. The subject matter is extremely relevant and it is a wonderful addition to the evening TV lineup. Keep it, ABC. It is a great show.
