Six additional scripts have been ordered for the cop drama.
October 12, 2011
NBC has ordered six more scripts for their new cop series Prime Suspect, making it the first freshman drama on the network to get a vote of confidence this season. It also joins sophomore series Harry's Law in getting more scripts ordered, but NBC has stopped short of handing out full seasons for any of their dramas so far.
Prime Suspect has struggled to attract viewers early in its run, earning a mere 1.5 adults 18-49 rating for its last two episodes after premiering with a 1.8. NBC has put reruns of the show in the spot of now-cancelled The Playboy Club on Monday nights, no doubt hoping to give the series more exposure in a different time slot.

I am an avid NBC fan and have watched many great programs over the years Ex. ER, Harry's Law, Friday Night Lights etc but I no longer want to get invested in any of your dramas (my favorite genre) because you keep canceling them. First Mercy and then unbelievably Prime Suspect!
I know reality tv is what sells but you really need to give new shows a little more time before you pull the plug...think MASH, Seinfeld!

When will those in charge figure it OUT!!!Find the right time slot to give clever shows like this a chance. Look at HOUSE, if they had not put it after American idol we would have missed an amazing show!Maria bello and the rest of the cast deserve better placement.

Loved this show, great acting, great story lines, at least consider bringing it back for the summer.

Guess the sponsors thought they weren't getting enough bang for their bucks. Loved the BBC version and loved this American version even more. Cancelling this show is a horrible decision!

Hopefully, TNT will pickup Prime Suspect cast and crew. "Southland" a 2009 NBC show
with excellent writing and ratings was dropped but now enjoys a successful run on TNT.

This has to be the best drama on television. Give it a good time spot and leave it there. It will be a sad day for your network if you let this gem go.

Love Prime Suspect, please do not cancel. Maybe it would do better on a different day? Monday or Wednesday perhaps.

Bring Prime Suspect back. It is my favorite show and I look forward to it every week. I absolutely love all of the characters. They all seem very realistic. Matter-of-fact, it is the only cop show that seems realistic.

I enjoy this show very much. I don't watch alot of TV and this captured and continues to hold my attention. It's gritty and real and I love all of the characters in it.

Oh please PLEASE dont cancel this show. It was a breath of fresh air amongst all these other craptastic shows being aired.I am not one to try to keep up with shows until the series is over but I love Bello's role and the chemistry between the cast. If this show gets cancelled I will be pissed !!!
