When word broke last summer that CBS was not planning to air the fifth season of police drama Flashpoint, American fans of the show looked to be out in the cold with the show seemingly available only on Canadian network CTV. However, good news has come today for U.S. fans of the show, as cable network ION has renewed the show for Season 5 in the states.
ION had already procured repeats of the show's first four seasons and were obviously pleased enough with the response to proceed with ordering the fifth. The next season of Flashpoint goes into production next month. There is no word on a premiere date at this time.
o my God... i watch every episode starting from season 1-4.. i can't wait for season 5.. i am just addicted to this show

WOW!!! What an amazing show. I just downed the Seasons 1 thru 4 in less than a week and a half! Very happy to hear there is a Season 5.

This show is by far one of the best shows on TV... US or Canadian. Way to go Canada to produce a show of this caliber. THANK YOU ION for airing this excellent drama!!

if anybody has netflix season1 to 4 are on it but only have of season 4. I started watching it and got my kids hooked great show can't what for season 5

I started watching Flashpooint on ION and fell in love with it. I can't wait for season 5. I'm getting ready to order the first four seasons on Amazon. Seasons 1-3 are out now and season 4 is being released in May, can't wait. Don't pull a Third Watch a cancel a show when it's still popular. I'll never understand why NBC done that.

Don't typically care much for Canucklehead TV, I find it to be a bit too much like Canucklehead humor....Apparently goes zooming right over my head.
But, Flashpoint is one my wife has enjoyed since day one and I have grown to enjoy. Glad to see ION's move to bring Season 5 to the US.

my husband got me hooked on this show he started watching it on ion tv and i've been watching the past four seasons on netflix...please ion pick up season 5
