ABC Family has stated that a movie is close to development.

Fans of ABC Family series The Nine Lives of Chloe King were understandably upset when it was cancelled midway through its first season. But while the series may not continue on television, the network has gone on record to say that a movie to continue the story is a very real possibility.

"We are actually on the verge of putting a movie into development," ABC Family president Michael Riley told Zap2it. "For us, we are always looking at the intellectual property that we're capitalizing on and making sure there is opportunity".

So while nothing is quite official at this point, it does look like a Chloe King movie could actually see the light of day.

And, why can't they consider a Kyle XY movie as well. That was a great show!!

I enjoyed watching Chloe King, the story was very interesting and I couldn't wait for the next episode. It made me pretty angry when it was cancelled, so I will not count on a possible movie considering the out come of the series.

As a 28 year old male, I actually found the show not to be THAT terrible. Although, what I did hate, was her trying to be the "Chloe" from Smallville.. always quippy, even with the same name. Otherwise, it was enough to hold my interest from show to show.
