ABC has renewed freshman comedy Suburgatory for a second season. The series got off to a strong start when it premiered last October, averaging an impressive 3.1 rating among adults 18-49 over its first three episodes. That prompted the network to quickly order a full 22-episode season. And while the show's ratings have trailed off over the course of the season, they're clearly at a level at which ABC feels warrants a renewal.

The network also picked up a slew of other shows today: Revenge, Castle, Grey's Anatomy, Once Upon a Time, Modern Family and The Middle will also be back for the 2012-2013 season.

Suburgatory will air its season finale next week on May 16. There is no word on a return date or the number of episodes ordered for Season 2.
