NBC will not be renewing the Kathy Bates legal drama.
May 11, 2012
NBC has cancelled Harry's Law after two seasons on the air. The modestly-rated legal drama has long been considered on-the-bubble for earning a renewal past two seasons.
The show will end after a total of 34 episodes over two seasons. Its now-series finale will air on May 20, 2012.

WHAT IS THAT MATTER WITH NBC! This was the show we looked forward to every weekend! We were even trying to find season 1 on dvd. Cannot believe that this good show with substance and humor is yanked off. The past comments regarding these singing/dance shows along with all the reality shows are so true. Enough is enough. We like fiction and Harry's Law provided a distraction from these brainless shows.

To cancel a David E. Kelley show with an excellent, quality actor like Kathy Bates and a wonderful cast that feels like family - NBC shot itself in the foot again! This intelligently written show, dealing with subjects that NEED to be talked about and doing so in such a personable and entertaining manner - and you jerks cancelled it?? I read that it's because it appeals to baby-boomer age folks, like me. We make up a majority in the US population and we actually ARE your bread and butter NBC! Do you really want to alienate us to the point where we leave you in favor of other networks?? We ARE the ones watching TV - why do you feel this need to appeal to younger people? They, by and large, are NOT watching TV. How sad for NBC. Another worthwhile network will hopefully grab this show! Harry's fans are watching to see who gets to it first!!

One of the few shows I watched on NBC and now it is gone. Just watched the final episode. David Kelley is awesome, Kathy Bates is awesome, and NBC? You stink. What's wrong? Didn't Leno like the show?

NBC is the worst run network in the TV business. The only show I watched on NBC was Harry's Law. Now I will watch no shows on NBC.
The News Division which was once the best on TV is now the worst. What happened to a once great network now being run by buffoons.

A very good show. A good cast. Good acting! Good drama! Thought provoking. What the heck are people watching, if not good shows like this?
I refuse to watch those singing shows. Some people can sing, some can't, who cares. I'll take a good drama show, any day.

Wish this news was not so. At least the show had some intelligence.

One of the best shows on TV. As usual anything thought provoking, and well acted and directed is cancelled. Once again N.B.C.makes a BIG mistake!!

I simply do not understand the cancelling of this dynamic show. Cathy Bates is such a fantastic actress and she makes you believe she is actually Harry. I am so sick of all those terrible shows on television and this one was one that I watched and enjoyed. It held my attention. I grew up when there were so many wonderful shows on t.v. I feel so bad for our youth.

Great show, wonderful, intelligent writing, intriguing and multi-layered characters. Yup, makes total sense to cancel it in favour of more reality crap. Very sad...
