Fox Cancels Napoleon Dynamite

The animated series is axed after six episodes.

May 14, 2012

Fox has cancelled freshman sitcom Napoleon Dynamite after its first season on the air. The animated show, which followed characters from the live-action 2004 film of the same name, was left off of the network's 2012-2013 schedule.

Napoleon Dynamite aired its finale on March 4, 2012 after a short six-episode season.

why would they want the demographic to be 18 to 49. uhmm this is why the show got such low rating because it should have been targeted towards teens and young adults

Ill admit I was the first to say no to this idea, as I did not like the movie, but after the first two episodes I was laughing along with everyone else. I'm sad to see it go but at the same time, I'm not going to miss it. It was good but had no lasting power.

This makes sense. It was a horrible cartoon and it was about 6 years too late.

Very upset at this cancellation, The animation was superb! They had every expression and character down to a t! Severely dissapointed with this cancellation.

It's a shame that it got cancelled. Why did FOX get rid of this show? It seems that they don't give some new shows a chance.

The movie was a huge cat turd covered in SARS. Fox should've never wasted the time making this piece of hot trash in a bag. Jon Heder is a complete tool who can't act for crap.

This show was awful. Cleveland Show should be cancelled as well.
