Nurse Jackie Peyton is a disgrace! I hate to see the way the writers let her wiggle out of dangerous situations and how she blames everyone around her for her problems and addiction. I hope that when the series ends, it ends with her going to jail where she really belongs. Not in an ER!

The acting may be good, but the character depicts the worse side of the nurse. Nurse Jackie isn't just a nurse who had human faults she's a lousy human being. She steals from her patients, she lies to her fellow nurses and doctors -- she's a BAD nurse and it doesn't serve the profession to hold her up as a nurse. We don't need perfect depiction on nurses, but we also don't need the mockery that is Nurse Jackie. In the real world of nursing, where there is really good strong nursing ethics and leadership Nurse Jackie would be history! Her actions and behavior that threatens patient safety would be seen for what it is BAD NURSING and not entertainment.

I love this show and can't wait for it to start again. The characters are well drawn and developed. Edie Falco is as usual just wonderful as are all of the other actors.

I have enjoyed Nurse Jackie from the beginning. As a health care professional I have witnessed struggles in the work environment, triumphs and failures, and though Jackie is flawed, she's all there when it counts. I wish the episodes were an hour long instead of half hour slots. Every time they end I'm disappointed it's over so soon.

I think the show tells a great story. There are nurses who struggle with addiction. It is a back breaking heart wrenching profession. I don't think she is a disgrace. I love the show and looking forward to season 5 !!
