AMC has decided not to renew the crime drama.
July 27, 2012
AMC has cancelled The Killing after two seasons. Over the course of its run, the crime drama followed the events after the murder of a young Seattle girl, with each episode representing one day in the investigation. Thankfully for fans of the show, the murder was solved at the end of Season 2.
"After much deliberation, we've come to the difficult decision not to renew 'The Killing' for a third season," the network said in an issued statement. "AMC is incredibly proud of the show and is fortunate to have worked with such a talented team on this project, from showrunner Veena Sud and our terrific partners at Fox Television Studios to the talented, dedicated crew and exceptional cast."

OMGoodness, you can't be serious? I loved this show. Unfortunately, there is always another murder or some sort of travesity to keep the show afloat. The actors were great. How could you not keep us informed of their progress/demise?! BLOWN

I hate AMC! The biggest disappointer w/show cancellations. Change your name to ARC-so people will know not to get invested in any show on your network!Dont get attached to the characters, its All Ready Cancelled, now that we got invested into the characters!
The Killing was brilliant!Pathetic decision makers.

This show was great and cancelled because it took too long to reach the solution? Soon there won't be anything on TV but mindless drivel. I like to be educated a bit when I watch a show. I'm not into violence which mostly just promotes more violence.

Fraking great, they killed another fantastic show, the acting was the best there is. Guess shows with intelligence and character just aren't in. God Forbid that someone might actually have to think. Ya give us more mindless reality shows, no wonder I don't watch TV anymore, my pc keeps me happy.

We should let the Networks know that we will not even consider watching a new series unless we are reassured that there will be a wrap up episode/special made if it is cancelled!

I'm very disappointed this show was cancelled. I loved this show. Every time a good show comes on they cancel it. The t.v. is becoming all reality shows sum of us like to escape reality for a little while.

This show kept me glued to my TV...or PC. It was different from your regular cop shows. The acting was great. Why on earth would it be cancelled and 20 reality tv shows be renewed.
Give us back the dramma!!!!

A fantastic character driven show. One with intelligence and mystery much like Rubicon which never got a chance. There is a lot of us out here who do not like the stupid mindless stuff that's being panned off as great TV. It's to bad that quality doesn't count or either apparently what the audience thinks.
