There will be no season 4 for the crime drama.
August 28, 2014
A&E has cancelled Longmire after three seasons on the air. Premiering in 2012, the crime drama went on to become the cable network's most-watched original drama ever, amassing a sizable and loyal fanbase.
While its third-season ratings were down from previous years, it is not clear if that was the reason for the show's cancellation. It is being reported that its production company, Warner Horizon, will be shopping the series to other networks.

I have been waiting for good news that Longmire has been picked up by another network, but no news yet. Very disappointed in A&E and as a working, over 50, spend lots of money where I want person, I will not be watching or buying from the advertisers on A&E any more. There are too many places to spend my hard earned money to have to support those who have no respect for me, just because of my age. Thank you for a place to express my opinion.

A&E blew it when they cancelled Longmire. At least Netflix has the sense to pick up a good program. Come to think of it I rarely watch A&E in the first place. Now with Longmire gone it will be rarer indeed. What is the demographic audience your are looking for? Certainly not employed, educated and mature. Your advertisers ought to cancel their business with A&E. Looking forward to seeing Walt in 2015.

Congratulations to A & E for cornering the TV market for senseless reality shows-Love Island-Shipping Wars-Storage Wars-Parking Wars-Dog the Bounty Hunter-Brandi & Jared-Country Bucks - Who do they have naming the line up for A & E? Tenth grade high school boys? Longmire was the only thing that required a brain to watch and now they canceled it. No need to watch A & E

There are a lot of rumors around why Longmire was cancelled. In my openion the only reason good enough for cancellation is if the star of the show died. Give us the truth about why it was cancelled. Please.

I too am tremendously disappointed in A&E's decision to cancel Longmire. If no other station picks it up (at which time I will watch that station more), at least have the decency to do what the morons that cancelled Firefly did and give us some closure on all the cliff-hangers you left at the end of the past season. The movie "Serenity" had an automatic audience to answer all the questions the series left - I hope you misguided programmers at A&E have the good sense to do the same.

I've enjoyed watching Longmire. If it doesn't continue to air then I will have no reason to watch A&E. I hope some other network that values LONGMIRE'S demographic group will continue producing the series.

Cancelling Longmire cancelled any reason to watch A&E. It was a good series and gave me hope the network was moving in the right direction.

Longmire was one of the most entertaining dramas on tv . It kept us on the edge of our seats. First you go after the Duck Dynasty family now this. I hope another network picks it up because it is fine entertainment. This family will be dropping your network .
