It is being reported that FOX has cut back on its episode order for new series Mulaney. The comedy has gotten off to a slow start, with its premiere episode earlier this month being widely panned by both critics and viewers. Low ratings reflected the lackluster reviews, with viewership not improving much for its second episode.
Mulaney has finished production on 13 of its original order of 16 episodes. For now the show will continue to air on Sundays at 9:30pm as usual, but a second season does not appear likely at this point.

it doesn't just "try" to have a Seinfeld vibe, it's a blatant copy, right down to the Newman character that apparently they even tried to find an actor that looked like him. and John Mulaney is horrible, he's got this nervous smile on his face at all times. the first episode was awful but it got a little better after, but I doubt it'll be good enough to measure up for Fox.

Out of "obligation"... I still watch... I actually chuckled during the 1st episode, afterwards, not so much..... It does try to have a "Seinfeld" vibe, which started off with poor ratings, but, now is iconic..... I doubt this will fall in line, but, there's the hope.

Absolutely horrible show. Un-funny and as cliche as it can be.

I knew from the first episode that this show would get the axe. The actors look almost uncomfortable on screen. The beginning monologue "a la Seinfeld" is boring. The only person I find remotely funny is Nasim Pedrad who came straight off SNL.
