The new drama is pulled from the schedule.
March 6, 2015
NBC has cancelled Allegiance, pulling the freshman drama from its schedule after five episodes. The series had gotten off to a slow start since its premiere last month, failing to draw significant viewership in the 10:00pm Thursday time slot.
Beginning next week, the network will move new episodes of The Slap to Thursdays at 10:00pm. In the 8:00pm hour, where The Slap previously aired, episodes of Dateline: The Real Blacklist will air ahead of new episodes of The Blacklist.

'Allegiance' had enough potential to stick around, but the screenwriters spent too much time going in circles every week. They reminded me of broadcast evangelists who have only 30 minutes of program time and spend 2/3 of that time begging for money so they can come back on their next program and spend another 30 minutes doing the same thing. Rubbish.

I didn't mind this show my problem with it is that you have to give it your full attention because you have to read the Russian translation all the time and I only half watch TV because I watch while I'm doing other things and if you can't read the translations then you miss why some things are happening. I rarely watch shows when the air, I watch most of my via the app when it's more convenient for me and I don't miss a show because it's up against a different show, I just watch both but not at the time they air.

Bub- well said! Guess what, I refuse to watch any new shows on NBC. Theres no point. Everything ends up cancelled and leaves the viewers hanging mid air. They have ZERO respect for their audience. When I saw the previews for this I thought "might be good". But then I realized it was NBC and said forget it. And now you see why....

This show could have had potential, if it had better actors and and screen writers, I have watched it but it just isn't a show that I can't wait for the next episode to come out like gotham, walking dead, the flash, arrow and plenty more

It was just a rip off of The Americans anyway.

I thought the show have great potential. I think the network didn't give it a chance. There is so much trash on tv now I can't d stand it.The reality shows a are awful. Not everybody likes the same thing. But I think Allegiance in a different slot would be one I'd like to see come back.

BUB you hit the nail on the head. These network writers and the mucky muck bosses must all be smoking medical drugs. The smaller independent networks that have the shows you listed are on top of their game. I like every show you listed. More people like us need to step up and say I will not take it any more get your act together. Who ever the sponsors are for reality and cooking shows should receive emails from us that we will not use their products as long as long as they support these stupid shows. One email is equal to one thousand angry people. Keep up the comments. MKL

The show wasn't bad. It's better than The Slap but just a network copy of another show. I would have liked to see the characters develop. I was looking forward to it. Back to Netflix. I can't stand network TV.

I just could not get into this show! The idea of reviving old Soviet Union style plots and old KGB tactics in a more modern "SVR" for the 21st century, was too much to be believable. Five episodes sent it into the studio trashcan.
