The new drama will not return for Season 2.
May 7, 2015
The CW has cancelled its latest drama The Messengers after one season. The decision to axe the freshman series comes after three low-rated episodes that were the network's weakest start for a drama since 2013's Cult.
Though the show will not get another season, the remainder of Season 1 is expected to air.

Maybe Netflix can pick it up or something....

For gods sake networks, give a show a fricken chance. A good show that is interesting. I think all shows that get picked up should get a full season to hit its stride and build viewership before it is judged if they will be cancelled or get a second season.

Now this is funny. 80% of the shows on CW are tween-oriented and, well, kind of lame. This one, while being a bit TOO religious-based was a decent outing. But I guess the CW figures it doesn't fit with their library of crappy dramas for tweens.

Come on!! Really?!?? My 13 yr old daughter and I were having fun watching it together. It wasn't bad enough to cancel....

WTF!!! I thought this show was doing good. It has only been on like two or three times and cacnceled already.

Seriously? I think I need to stop watching tv. Anything I find interesting and different, and fresh, gets cancelled after the first three episodes.

Well that's crap! I really like this show. I thought I had a bright future like Supernatural. I don't think you have it enough of a chance. Oh well. I guess I will look forward to your next creation.

:( Never even got a chance! Bad timeslot! Expectations are too high! Didn't they learn anything from Cult? A cliffhanger we still don't know the end of! Hopefully this one will at least give us closure!

not sure if I am happy or upset I watched 1 episode and found it somewhat interesting, but had doubts if it would last...
That's a problem with new shows they sure don't ever really get a chance to find their footing any more.
Guess I can take this one off my list of 'catch up on' shows.
