The David Duchovny drama will return for Season 2.
June 25, 2015
NBC announced today that Aquarius has been renewed for a second season. The freshman 1960's-set drama is currently four episodes into its debut run on the network, but the entire season has already been made available online, making it the first broadcast series to be streamed in its entirety after its premiere.
The summer show has been drawing decent ratings for NBC thus far, picking up favorable praise along the way and earning a nomination for a Critic's Choice Television Award in the Most Exciting New Series category.
Look for Season 2 of Aquarius in 2016.

Thanks Jason. I figured X-Files would start off with 6 and be back with more if the ratings were good. Funny thing is I thought Aquarius was the mini-series until I saw this headline. Not sure how long they can drag this story out.

X-Files will be a 6 episode mini-series event in January on FOX.
A lot like what Showtime is doing with Twin Peaks and NBC with Heroes.

So does this mean he changed his mind about bringing back X-Files or is he going to be the lead on two shows?

Saw this coming I called this right when a great show like Hannibal gets cancelled.
I thought Californication was bad, but this show is worse. Don't see it for a third season. Have to hold out till January to see the Xfiles. I know that won't disappoint

@Emma Jay Charles Manson is a real person. Is meaning he is still alive. If the show is indeed based in reality then he won't be executed. Of course, in real-life he never committed murder, just conspiracy so...

Hannibal had it coming stop blaming this show for no one watching an expensive 1 hit wonder. It's first season was great but after that it went the way of heroes and by that I mean boring and overly complicated too just hop on and watch for new viewers or ones that missed an episode. I stopped the episode before its 2nd season finale I just didn't find it interesting enough to watch the finale. This show is good and it has duchovny if they arrest Manson and move on too another killer instead of doing what the following did I'll stick around but if not I'm out.

I began watching, believing this would be over and Manson in jail or executed but now this story will be continued. I am sorry I watched and now need to go online to learn Manson's fate. I am done watching shows with cliffhanger season endings!

When I started the show I thought this to be a on-off mini series but after the final episode it was clear that wasn´t the case. Since I liked it so far I´m relieved not to have run into another canceled-before-conclusion show.
