News is out that new FX comedy The Comedians has been cancelled after one season. Ben Wexler, one of the showrunners, posted the bad news on Twitter last night:
#TheComedians is cancelled at FX. I could not be more proud of the work we all did.

Why is Gad even famous? Cna anyone name a single thing he's done that was actually good? Back To You was horrible, 1600 Penn was horrible, The Comedians was horrible. How does this untalented, unfunny, lump keep getting work?

Agree with acdcdave. The fact that the stars seem to be polar opposites made it difficult to draw and keep an audience.

"I could not be more proud of the work we all did." Liar! You would be more proud if the show lasted.

Truly devastated here. I don't know what folks have against Josh Gad, but I find him immensely entertaining. I liked the chemistry between the cast members, and was very excited about seeing where things would go in Season 2. I hope this finds a new home, but I've got a feeling they're gonna let this one die. I'll always treasure that scene with Billy and Josh "shopping" while high at the grocery store.

The show did start off really slow, but by the 5th or 6th episode it got really, really funny. Sadly alot of people did not give it a chance.

Are you kidding me? The show was hillarious! Billy Crystal will always be funny, and Josh Gad was great. What a disappointment.

Nothing redeemable in this show, and I was truly hoping for a good one. I probably would laugh more after slamming my hand in a car door than I did for the first episode of this dreck. I hope that Billy Crystal gets another show, and I fervently pray that I never see that other guy again, though I know that I will.

The older comedians need to realize that their brand of humor isn't funny to mindless, brainless individuals who sit in front of screens and want 'in your face, smashing, wrecking, no plot line' shows. I feel sorry for anyone with class and real humor that tries to entertain people that are going to be deaf and blind by the time they are 35 because they only know load and instant.
