The hit series continues its dominance.
October 30, 2015
AMC announced today that The Walking Dead has been renewed for a seventh season. The veteran drama continues to rank as one of television's top series, making the pickup an easy decision for the network.
Ratings have continued to be strong through the first three episodes of Season 6, with viewership on track to keep The Walking Dead as TV's most-watched drama among adults 18-49 across broadcast and cable networks for the fourth straight year.
While the number of episodes for Season 7 has not been announced, another 16 appears likely, which would be in-line with recent years. Scott M. Gimple will be returning once again as showrunner, with the current stable of executive producers remaining the same as well.

I'm so happy this show is still going strong! It really is the best, regardless of what all you haters seem to advertise in your comments. If you really hate the show, and Talking Dead, then DON'T WATCH IT. Nobody cares for your flames. To be honest, every single show on the planet gets repetitive from time to time, do don't hate on TWD for falling into that catagory on A FEW episodes. This show is absolutely #Perfection, and the ratings of it are clearly in better argument than your displeasure. Xx

The Walking Dead has been a great show, except for some of the profanity. The first three seasons were the best, then really slow and rather boring in season 4. Calling the zombies (the correct term) walkers was always annoying though, because everyone walks and therefore a "walker". The "alternate reality" or "alternate universe" explanation for this is totally flawed and ridiculous, since there is no scientific proof for one. Maybe in jest some freaky group will protest the slaughter of zombies on this show with the slogan, "Zombie lives matter!". The series is centered around the main character Rick Grimes, the former deputy. If he goes, so does the many fans of the show, next followed by Daryl Dixon.
And yes, do get rid of that lousy host of The Talking Dead, Chris Hardwick! He is so obnoxious that I don't bother watching it anymore. And someone give that character a razor, because he is always in need of a shave.

Yes, renew The Walking Dead, now please change hosts for The Talking Dead. I really don't care for Chris Hardwick as a host for that show.

The show is okay, not great. It became a human soap opera with zombies in the background. Seems like 60% of the deaths on the show now come from other people and zombies are just a backdrop that occasionally bites someone.
