The veteran drama has yet to get a premiere date.

There is some sad news for Person of Interest fans today, as word is out that the drama's upcoming season will probably be its last. Speaking on the show's future, executive producer J.J. Abrams said that he strongly suspects the story will conclude with Season 5, but noted that he believes there is a lot more story to tell were it to continue.
Observers have seen the writing on the wall for some time now, with CBS leaving Person of Interest off of this season's fall schedule and staying mum on its return. The show didn't even make the cut on the network's recently-released midseason slate, leaving many to question whether it would return at all.
A silver lining in all this is that it does appear Season 5 will make it to air sometime this year, though exactly when it anybody's guess. It's possibly more information will come out next week when CBS makes its presentation at TCA.

So very glad to hear POI will be back for another season. It was always in my Top 10 Series list. As for all the "conspiracy stuff" that's when I thought the show really started to get interesting. I like to watch a certain amount of TV series with complicated storylines, and this show certainly had that....lol....

The powers that be, yes...this includes major networks and media outlets, don't want any more shows that very accurately portray a rogue, police, spying state that carry out covert unconstitutional, illegal and warrant-less spying on American citizens. I know this is just a TV show, but it draws lines to many of the things that do and, already have happened in America today.

CBS is definitely a good-series killer. They bring really thoughtful shows that challenge viewers, and then drop them from one season to the next. Maybe they only care about what's next at CBS. So my fingers are crossed for Elementary and Limitless, while hoping Scorpion and CSI: Cyber up their game to be good enough to get the axe while on top like so many others in the past.

At one time this was my favorite show on TV, but the past season+ it has really gone down hill.....especially once they killed off detective Carter.

I lost interest after they killed off Detective Carter (Taraji P. Henson). The plots got more and more ridiculous. She's having the last laugh though as she's now one of the hottest stars on Empire.

I lost interest shortly after Carter died. Storyline is just too far fetched and all over the place for me.

This is the last straw for CBS. I will NOT watch this station any more. Over the years, they have had really good shows that got canceled. What are they thinking? They would be better off with an alien running the company.

I loved this show until it got too involved with all of the conspiracy theory stuff, too, Louise. However, I still thoroughly enjoy it, but the show no longer has me waiting for each new show like before (since the first couple of seasons). Hopefully, season five, if and when it's coming out, goes back to the original format a bit, and I would like to see a streaming service pick it up, as well. If not, at least it had a somewhat lengthy run.

Person of Interest has had a good run. I've enjoyed every season in it's own way. Whether it ends for good or not I'll be happy either way so long as it finishes and goes out the great show it has been. :)
