The revival series concludes this month.
January 13, 2016
Though always planned as a limited series, NBC confirmed today that Heroes Reborn will be ending its run after one season. The Tim Kring superhero drama, which acted as a revival of the once-popular, previously-cancelled Heroes, premiered as part of the network's 2015 fall schedule for a 13-episode stint.
The reboot didn't do much to renew viewer interest in the franchise, however, and its lackluster ratings on Thursday nights reflected that. One would imagine that if Reborn managed to draw a sizable audience, NBC might have explored possibilities to bring the show back for further installments. But as it stands now, the network says no more incarnations are planned for the foreseeable future.
Heroes Reborn airs its series finale on Thursday, January 21.

This is disappointing and doesn't factor into the viewers overseas. So many of us were unable to watch at the same time to impact the viewership and instead had to find sources online to watch. But of course, those downloads never count.

The second they turned Matt and Suresh into the bad guys, the show was doomed. Couple that with not bringing back any of the key players in major roles. There was only one conclusion from episode one, cancellation.

If you want good ratings for a show never put it up against the NFL. That was the first mistake. Heroes had the same problem. I had to watch it on Netflix.

Didn't like the original series...and it didn't have competition in its time slot. Glad the show died to afford the opportunity for another show.

I agree with Bonkers and I will also add that the 2015 line up of shows in general was amazing. I enjoyed binge watching the original and understand why it got canceled, there was just way to many holes. Reborn was great but it didn't have a chance against the DC, Marvel shows or the Thursday lineup of the Shonda Trifecta, the CWs Vampires, FOXs Sleepy Bones. Reborn might of done better numbers and a chance for a comeback during the summer.

the show lost potential viewers when it was clear that most of the cast would not be returning. in my view, most of those that did added nothing to the story and so offered no benefit to either assisting the new characters nor compelling existing fans to want to watch.
