The comedy-horror will return in a new setting.
January 15, 2016
Fox announced today that Scream Queens has been renewed for a second season. The freshman comedy-horror series, from American Horror Story's Ryan Murphy, premiered last fall as part of the network's 2015 line-up with a short 13-episode run.
Ratings weren't particularly strong for the series, which struggled to draw high numbers in the key adults 18-49 demographic despite its high profile. It fared better in other metrics, however, performing particularly well in online, on-demand, and DVR viewing. Its strong social media presence was also notable.
Look for Season 2 of Scream Queens this fall, where it is expected the show will move to a hospital setting rather than stay within a college campus as it did in Season 1.

F-off, Butch!
With nothing but medical shows and csi shows and cop shows being renewed, I'm glad something different is getting its own spot.
Season 1 was a blast! Can't wait for season 2.

I'm so happy they renewed this. Was a bit skeptical that it was going to be renewed because the ratings were not that good but fox pulled through for us.:)

Interesting. Season 1 was so-so still have six episodes to watch on DVR, but with a hospital setting season 2 could be significantly better.

I came into the season with high hopes, being that it was created by Ryan Murphy and it had a pretty good cast. However, I forced myself to finish the season just to see who the killer was. Sadly, it was a huge disappointment to find out it was the same person you expected from the beginning and the accomplices also being predictable. The only good part of Scream Queens was some really clever dialogue. Nonetheless, the show needs to be put out of its annoying misery... like Deaf Taylor Swift.
