The long-running medical drama continues in 2016-2017.

ABC announced today that Grey's Anatomy has been renewed for a 13th season. The long-running Shonda Rhimes hospital drama has been on the air since 2005, remaining a strong Thursday night performer year after year. While ratings have dipped from the lofty numbers it drew in its heyday, the show remains one of the network's top dramas.
Grey's Anatomy joins five other ABC dramas that were picked up today for the 2016-2017 season. Once Upon a Time, Quantico, How to Get Away with Murder, Scandal, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will all be returning. Dramas still waiting on news include Castle, Nashville, American Crime, and Agent Carter.

I love this show. But like ER before it it has run its course. Hopefully next season will be it's last.

Not that it's a bad show.. but I agree 12 years is enough.. 13 is getting into the "just end it' category. Stories start to get repetitive and eventually you think it gets renewed just because it's been on the air and everyone involved doesn't want the hassle of looking for new work (like the Simpsons). Again, I don't think it's abad show... but after a decade there are better things to do and it's not like Grey's is a show you can jump in at season 13 and understand what the history of the characters is.

There are so many shows i am currently on a binge watch of and Grey's anatomy is one of them i have been a fan of the show since i started watching in 2014. This show is amazing!!

It's time for Grey's to end. I'm so ready. I hate that I feel like I have to keep watching it since I've watched since the beginning. The last few seasons haven't been that great. It's time to end!
