The drama is axed after 2 episodes.
March 17, 2016
ABC has pulled Of Kings and Prophets from its schedule effective immediately, cancelling its latest drama after just two episodes. The freshman series got off to a slow start with its premiere episode, only to lose 40% of its already-low viewership during this week's episode, forcing ABC's hand.
Taking over the vacant time slot beginning next Tuesday, March 22 will be new episodes of Shark Tank companion series Beyond the Tank.

Blame the network if you want, but the real cause of this cancellation is that nobody watched it. The second episode had 2.44 million viewers. Any network exec would risk his/her job by not cancelling it.

What a shock, a biblical epic given two shots, and what do they fall back on Shark Tank a cheap show to produce. We can always count on ABC.

Didn't belong on prime time network tv..... pushing some religious agenda should be reserved for Sunday mornings where it's easily avoided.

For those who want to know how the story ends, maybe you should pick up a Bible. For those who thought a sexed-up Biblical story would play on a broadcast network in America, maybe you should pray for forgiveness.

This is the channel that dropped forever for crap like this? Serves them right.

Glad to see it go. Too much progressive agenda ruined a story that may have been good without it. Really, they had to show two guys sleeping with each other to tell the story.

I watched the first episode, and it was OK...watched half of the second episode and completely lost interest in it...couldn't understand what was going on and didn't care...it was awful...my thoughts while watching it was that it was going to get cancelled, but I figured they would at least air a few episode...not surprised at all though

It's really too bad no ABC executive took the bet I offered them about whatever shows they put in Tuesday Night's 9/10 slot doing horrible this year. Had they done so I'd be an ABC Executive right now because it was such an easy prediction. Forever's Numbers are looking pretty good now aren't they?
