The drama is axed after 2 episodes.
March 17, 2016
ABC has pulled Of Kings and Prophets from its schedule effective immediately, cancelling its latest drama after just two episodes. The freshman series got off to a slow start with its premiere episode, only to lose 40% of its already-low viewership during this week's episode, forcing ABC's hand.
Taking over the vacant time slot beginning next Tuesday, March 22 will be new episodes of Shark Tank companion series Beyond the Tank.

Sigh, I was really liking this show. Hopefully, Netflix will pick it up and give it a chance.

Shows such as this can only be accomplished with a tvma or R rating. You cant be successful putting it out on a pg network. I stopped watching after the first episode myself, because i knew the restraints would water down the show. Plus character development was way too slow. I didnt connect with anyone of them, too much killing going on b4 acting, way to fast without knowledge of reason, if your not a biblehead you will be lost.

Well it's not like we don't know how it ends. They all die. No need to give it any closure.

The first episode was okay, it could have gotten better, but did they think that the drop in ratings this week might have been due to March Madness and people watching the games?

Well, my mom was just telling me about this show. I never saw any commercials for it. I only watch ABC on Sundays for Once Upon a Time. But was there any advertisements for this show? Seems like a shame to cancel after 2 episodes when there's no advertisements.

Why don't the networks and cable stations take a pole. Give us several show ideas and ask us which one we would like to see. Now I can delete the 2 episodes and season pass from my TiVo. I just saved 90 minutes by not watching.

Sad to see it go, but I had a feeling that it would not last. The casting, setting and direction was great but the story and writing was directed towards people who know the bible and of King Saul which made it difficult to follow. Maybe Hulu could pick up the series and conclude the story.

good riddance, this corporately made to ride on the dick of GOT's success. Now for the other one to go (Beowulf).

I saw the first episode and it was good. they should have run this as a miniseries. and I suggest they do that. just show it on one of those weeks with no new shows on. late may. why waste the money?
