The Shondaland series nabs a second season.

ABC has renewed The Catch for a second season. The freshman drama, which is produced by Shonda Rhimes, debuted in March as a mid-season entry. The series has drawn modest ratings on Thursday nights, where it airs after other Shondaland entries Grey's Anatomy and Scandal.
The Catch's short 10-episode first season wraps up next Thursday with a 2-hour finale. There is no word yet on whether the show will remain in the mid-season or return in the fall as part of the network's regular lineup.

I love this show and am glad that ABC has renewed it for a second season. Unlike Pamela and Pope I think that this is a very good show and Shonda Rhimes is certainly no one trick pony, to the contrary: The Catch shows us yet another Universe in a completely different setting with an very new atmosphere and I love to see Mireille Enos so dolled up after seasons of Norwegian Sweaters and black Jeans, all smiles and flirty and witty and sexy and seeing Peter Krause in another part than husband and father is refreshing thank you very much! Go on and entertain us for many seasons to come please with all of this show's wonderful characters!

Collette is right; Peter Krause was FANTASTIC in Six Feet Under, and Parenthood as well. This show is a terrible fit for him.
Same for Enos....she was outstanding in The Killing. Having a hard time seeing her go from that to this tripe.

Typical Shinda Rhimes crap.
The bummer is, I love Peter Krause, but I absolutely hate this show.

I watched the first episode and though hmm this could be good, but since it is so different I waited until this report (either way) to decide if I wanted to watch it, now I can!

Tried to like this as I love Peter Kraus and watch anything he is in but couldn't stand Mirelle Enos's voice!! and Peter isnt being the acting scope he needs in this he was so much better in Six Feet Under!

Anything shonda rhymes produces gets 5 years . Not impressed with this show . ABC relies on her way too much
