The summer drama ends after four seasons.
September 9, 2016
It is being reported that ABC has cancelled Mistresses, opting not to renew the soapy drama for a fifth season. The summer series had just aired its fourth-season finale this past Tuesday. Ratings were mostly solid over the course of its run, though viewership in Seasons 3 and 4 was down somewhat compared to its first two seasons.
The cancellation of Mistresses adds to the list of summer dramas axed by the network in recent years, with programming in the off-season now shifting towards more alternative fare such as retro game show revivals which have been performing well in prime time.

All they do is keep the crap shows and get rid of anything half way decent. My biggest complaint now is though if you are going to end a show at least end it. Don't end with a cliffhanger and just say "okay that's good leave it there." They could of cut the last minute off and it would been fine. Same thing with Devious Maids. Cut the last minute and it would of been better. Don't end on a cliffhanger when the show is not coming back. Next summer there is no shows left for me other than Last Ship now. No wonder I watch more Youtube instead of tv nowadays.

They keep bachelor in paradise, the bachelor/bachelorette but cancel mistresses, devious maids, feed the beast and so on! Not everyone wants to see phony, degrading relationship shows. What happened to quality shows!? I'm gonna stick to cable (although feed the beast was a cable show). Good Television is really getting sparse.

I wish another network to pick it back or go on Netflix. I love this show. And it was one of my favorite show.

But they keep on (name of show that people are watching and can sell more ad revenue than cost to make)! They should have kept this on the air. I (one single viewer which will not add enough revenue to make up for the money spent to produce the show) liked it. Well I'm not going to watch anything this network makes anymore. Networks (a company) are always canceling (trying to get rid of under preforming and costly product) my (not the owner of but viewer of) shows.
I am not going to watch a show (thus lowering the ad revenue, the shows profitability, and chances of it staying on) until the network renews it for a new season. I hate shows being ended. (I only want to watch what is on now because no show can end to make room for a new one)
