No Season 2 for the mystery drama.
October 17, 2016
It is being reported that CBS has cancelled American Gothic after one season. The campy mystery drama premiered in June for a summer run that ultimately failed to attract much of an audience.
Luckily for fans that stuck with it to the end, the main plot line did wrap up with a big reveal in the final episode. And while the door was left slightly open for the story to continue, the finale did feel like a series closer.

And people like wonder why torrent sites get shut down constantly. When idiots like "mike" here can't keep their mouths shut about things, they ruin it for everyone. Not sure why the moderator is even allowing comments that display piracy links in the first place.

I thought it was a limited series, especially since they wrapped everything up, at the end. I enjoyed watching it and it kept me intrigued till the end.

I was pretty sure this came out as just a summer/off season show anyways

Nancy P, hopefully i'm allowed to pass on a link since there is no way to reach you directly: search.ew.com. They have recaps of almost every episode of every show. Hopefully that helps.

Need to know what happened in the final episode. Our satellite signal went out due to big storm, so I'm missing much of the last episode. Want details, please!

KIRA, You forgot American Odyssey and American Housewife! There are even a few more if you want to include food and house shows. I couldn't believe it when I saw 8 shows with American in the title in my queue. Anyway, once I plowed through the beginning of American Gothic I actually liked it. I am really enjoying these 10 episode and done series. I didn't need any more of this one. I am happy with the way it wrapped up.

Didn't think it would get renewed. The cast was good and the storyline was somewhat interesting but there was not much to the story.

Hey Tirebiter...I think you're thinking of a different show. "Last season" was the one and only season. Maybe you meant to say American Crime? Or American Horror Story? American Idol? American Dad? American Ninja Warrior? Or just The Americans? (Wow...think it's a trend? At least Hollywood still has some national pride.)

Thankfully, CBS knew when to fold them for this summer "series." They ruined Under the Dome by stretching it out over three "seasons." I welcome more of these TV novel seasons that end with the summer.

There wasn't really anywhere it could go. The killer was revealed although most guessed who it was a couple of episodes from the end.
