No Season 4 for the comedy sequel.
January 4, 2017
It's official - Girl Meets World will be ending its run after three seasons. The cancellation was announced this evening on the show writers' Twitter account, ending days of speculation after cast member Rider Strong alluded to the show ending over the weekend.
"It is with incredible pride in our work and complete sadness that things end, and I report to this wonderful audience that our show is over", the writers wrote in the first of a series of tweets. "I just officially got the call, and would like to thank this audience for its incredible love and loyalty."
Girl Meets World premiered in 2014 as a sequel to the popular 90's sitcom Boy Meets World, which ended its run 16 years ago. The half-hour comedy followed Corey and Topanga's daughter Riley and her best friend Maya, who try their best to navigate all the twists and turns that come along with growing up into their teenage years.
Three episodes are scheduled to air in January before Girl Meets World signs off for good. Look for the series finale, aptly titled Girl Meets Goodbye, on January 20.

They needed to spend more time making the show funny and less time trying to teach lessons. I will not miss it.

They are only cancelling this as they are hedging their bets on the new That's So Raven spin off. RIP GMW

Awwwh. Every episode ended with a heartfelt your special snowflake speech. It was bland, not Nickelodeon bad, but bland. Nobody treated anybody like they were real. Where is the "your in high school now. Grow up and deal with it yourself speech." Riley will get into college, have one bad experience, claim trauma, drop out and live with her parents.
But at least it is not Nick. In my opinion as an adult in 2017, young people should not be watch Nickelodeon, much better programming everywhere else.

It was a good show while it lasted but I can see why Disney Channel would cancelled it threw their own logic. 1: the main character(s) doesn't sing or dance in every episode. 2: the main Character(s) dont wish to become a famous pop star and sing for the world. Overall sadly if a show on disney channel wants to survive for a long time, they all need to have the same monotonous plot of singing and dancing with some catchy pop song in every episode

I really had high hopes for this show, since I grew up with "Boy Meets World". I was quickly disappointed. They replaced the magic of the first series with social propaganda. We get enough garbage in the news, do we really need it pushed on us in what is supposed to be a show about teens coming of age?

Started out funny, but invested too much in teen melodrama and winks to the original show. It never had an identity of its own. It's sad since there were some darn good episodes during its run.

The Disney Channel sucks. They are all about money, as if they do't have enough of that! They play so much sugary mindless crap on there that when they actually get an all around great show they let that go. Not good enough ratings they say, well this show has a very dedicated audience and they deserved better. In my opinion as an adult in 2017, young people should be watch Nickelodeon anyway, much better programming.
