The new drama is pulled from the schedule.
February 24, 2017
After just two weeks on the air, CBS has pulled the plug on its mid-season drama Doubt. The freshman series is the latest starring vehicle for Katherine Heigl, who has yet to find a long-term gig on broadcast television since her 5-year Emmy-winning turn on Grey's Anatomy.
Doubt is a legal drama that starred Heigl as a top attorney who starts to fall for one of her clients who may or may not be guilty of murdering his past girlfriend. Premiering February 15 in the 10:00pm time slot, the series struggled out of the gate with its first two episodes losing in the ratings to both Chicago PD and Match Game by a considerable margin.
With such low viewership, the network opted to cut its losses and has removed the show from its schedule effective immediately. Replacing Doubt next week will be a rerun of Bull. Starting the following Wednesday, March 8, Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders will fill CBS' 10:00pm time slot.
As for the unaired episodes of Doubt, it is currently not clear whether they will ever see the light of day. All 13 ordered episodes have already been produced, so it is possible we will see them burnt off at a later date.

Not surprised, I didn't even remember that this show was airing right now, I remember the previews and hype for it, but since that I didn't even notice it in the guide or even on the CBS All Access, CBS must not have had much faith in it to begin with because they didn't market the show at all.

Heigle wasnt given a good supporting cast. The script was good, but the actors the producers hired to say the lines just didnt perform their lines well, at all.
And as much as I believe in equality for everyone, Laverene Cox simply needs acting lessons. Also, I'm a little put off by her surname. What was she thinking? Not a good choice for a transgender woman.
Also, back to the supporting cast, no one had any amount of "star quality" other than Heigle & it did cross my mind perhaps it was written in her contract no supporting cast member could be better looking than her. Seriously, I did think that. She IS a diva....
In any event, I'm not really missing this show, so no big loss for moi.

We all say things we wish we hadn't and I am sure Katherine Heigl must be feeling that as well, but this show was good and looked as though it was going to build a good story...instead we get things renewed like the Kardashians and Chrisley Knows Best.
MY MY MY...and Laverne Cox is a terrible actor/actress and shouldn't even be on prime time until she has more acting lessons...

Maybe if Heigl wasn't such a diva she'd get a little further in her career. Talent couldn't hurt, either.

After watching previews I never gave the show a chance, looked like crap. As for those saying Heigl is being "blackballed"? Maybe she needs to do a better job at selecting roles!

I actually liked this show, but I also liked Conviction and see where that got me...CANCELLED!

This show was a poor rip off of Suits.
It was garbage that needed to be canceled after 2 episodes!

I couldn't get into the show. Hiegel is still Izzy and she does nothing to break out of that mold. Its not that she is blackballed but more she stys within a set character and brings it everywhere she goes. CBS tanked the show with little press a lousy time slot with a weak lead in-- a slot that is putting "Code Black" on life support. I assume its a money thing with too many big or current hot names they didn't want to bankroll this. Take a bunch of nobodies present them as fresh new stars and put in a legal drama. Ally McBeal and The Practice serve as evidence that this is a successful scenario heck even Law and Order got its start that way. So CBS needs to catch a clue!

What the h*** did they think was going to happen putting Katherine Heigl in anything? Of COURSE it wasn't going to do well. Why would they even risk it? Talk about flushing money down the toilet. The Hollywood liberals are always whining about not doing enough for the poor but then they put an actress who has a rep for bad-mouthing her OWN movies/shows in a starring roll? They may have well taken all that production money and set it on fire.

I'm really sick of TV. They never give shows the chance to make it. The only way I heard about this show was on some on the Stars Instagram pages. I liked the show and I'm about ready to get rid of TV and just have Hulu Netflix and Amazon because there you actually get to watch the whole season to decide if you really like a show or not. This is also why I don't start watching new shows till the second season because you get invested in them and the networks pull them right away. This is the third new show I tried this season that they did this to.
