CBS announced today that The Good Fight will be returning to its 'All Access' streaming service for a second season. The legal drama, which is a spin-off of The Good Wife, is five weeks into its run on the online subscription platform, which is releasing new episodes every Sunday.

While the show's performance data has not been made available, it has been receiving high praise from both audiences and critics. With the network looking to add high-quality content to its 'All Access' lineup, bringing The Good Fight back makes a lot of sense.

Created by The Good Wife's Robert and Michelle King, The Good Fight takes place one year after the events of the original series. The story follows the about-to-retire Diane Lockhart, who is forced back to work after losing her savings in a wide-reaching financial scam. No longer welcome at Lockhart & Lee, she joins a preeminent Chicago law firm along with Lucca Quinn and her goddaughter Maia, who just recently passed the bar.

Look for Season 2 of The Good Fight in early 2018.
