The comedy will air until at least Season 12.
March 20, 2017
CBS announced today that The Big Bang Theory has been renewed for two additional seasons, which will take it to at least Season 12. Currently television's highest-rated comedy, the long-running series has been a consistent top performer for the network through its 200-plus episodes on the air.
Since its premiere in 2007, The Big Bang Theory has been winning over audiences and garnering critical acclaim like few other comedies ever have. More viewers have been tuning into the show since 2010 than any other comedy on TV, and it consistently leads the ratings among many key demographics.
The show's current 10th season has six episodes remaining before it concludes for the summer. Look for Season 11 to premiere in late September.

I used to love this show but lately I can't stand it. It's gotten old and they're dragging it on too long. I still watch the new episodes but in a way I dread them. I know they'll carry it on as long as they can make money on it, but I was hoping it would end soon with dignity before it gets even older than it already feels....

1) FIX THE DAMN ELEVATOR. It's been at least a decade since Sheldon blew it up. 2) This show is okay... but just okay. it's kind of the same hack repeated ad nausium. But like other's have posted, it's still better than a lot of other sitcoms. I think, really, it was best when Howard was the "creeper" toward all women and Raj couldn't speak in front of women.... but oh well.

I agree it lost some steam but it is still better than most comedies on tv and I am thrilled we will get at least another two years of it.

While I'm glad this show is staying on longer, I hope it gets better. Its getting boring and not as funny as it used to be. I get that characters need to evolve and grow and I have liked that but its losing its mojo. But my family likes it and will continue to watch it and hope it gets better.

I love it just as much as when it debuted. The actors that have joined the cast through the years have kept it fresh for me. Stuart sure has changed since his first few episodes though... As long as it stays funny, I will keep watching. Since it is my family's favorite comedy, I hope that is many more years.

Khelben, Two and a half men was on for 12 years as well. I'm glad TBBT will be on for a little while longer. True, it's not as funny as it was before, but I think the show, much like its characters have to evolve too.
