CBS announced today that Blue Bloods has been renewed for an eighth season. The long-running Tom Selleck police drama, which recently aired its 150th episode, has been a Friday night staple on the network where it continues to garner consistently-healthy ratings.
Look for Season 8 of Blue Bloods this fall.

Blue Bloods is a phenomenal series, it tackles issues that touch our lives daily. Because my father was a Frank Reagan type & the family dinners remind me of my own upbringing, I appreciate the backstory that illustrates that police officer have families reflective of any other demographic group & it humanizes them.
Far too many people see police officers as cold, cruel killing machines...a adversary to be loathed, feared, without souls or heart. This series is a glaring reminder that PEOPLE, fallible people, not killers are on the job, imperfect & flawed as are we all.
I hope the show continues & that they tackle even more poignant issues that affect us here in the US & as it relates to us on a world scale.
Thank you for everything that the show is & the glimps, all be it fictional into the lives of what being a police family might be.

Blue Bloods is my favorite show on Friday night. The scenes are very real we get to see the good and bad in police world. The show puts family and law into perspective. There are important points to see and understand.

Looks like they renewed the show but not the good writers of the past seasons. Linda dying, Whoopi Goldberg, SWATTING Garrets house? First two episodes really lame, Seems like Anthony was the only good part of episode 2. Here's hoping. If I see Whoopi again I will be an exfan.

I have always watched Blue Bloods and enjoyed it thoroughly. However killing Linda was so sad. The show won't be the same without the dinners at home. What's next? They going to have Granps pass away? I will still watch the show but hope the energy picks up. God Bless Tom Selleck!

How come the Reagans didn't say grace at their meal? It's still not the same with out Linda.

Haven't missed an episode since the start. Why did you have to kill off Linda?

Why did you kill off Linda? we loved who she was she completed the cast. we were not ready to loose anyone in the cast and we never miss an episode. My husband cried more than me as we both felt so upset bring her back if you can - thought she might pop out of that barrel and be alive only it was not her.

Blue Bloods is/was my late father and i's favorite show. Family based and centered. These kind of shows are what this country needs. They sit down and have family dinners and thank God for it. Just like Duck Dynasty. My father passed away on may 4th 2016 at age 74. I continue to watch Blue Bloods because it was our time together, even though I wasn't living with him, we'd talk on the phone and both were tuned into the show. And we watched it together when I came to visit. I'm a fan for life. Please keep the same cast. Main characters. Thanks and GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. GOD BLESS AMERICA
