The political drama will return for the 2017-2018 season.
March 23, 2017
CBS announced today that Madam Secretary has been renewed for a fourth season. The political drama, which stars Téa Leoni as the Secretary of State, has seen its ratings dwindle this season as part of the network's Sunday night lineup.
The news comes one day after the show's executive producer, David Grae, signed a two-year overall deal with the network that will see him continue his work on Madam Secretary as well as develop new projects for the studio.
Look for Season 4 of Madam Secretary this fall.

Give it up already. The propaganda vehicle for Hillary to get elected is done. She lost. Bigly.

I love the way this show is written - especially the family dynamics. I would miss it horribly if it wasn't picked up. For me anyway, CBS did well.
