The drama is pulled after five episodes.

Reports are out that ABC has pulled new series Time After Time from its schedule after just five episodes. The move does not come as much of a surprise after a slow start to the time travel drama, which has finished last against its Sunday night competition in each of its airings.
Based on the novel and movie of the same name, the series followed famed science fiction writer H.G. Wells and his time travelling adventures to modern day Manhattan in search of the murderous Jack the Ripper.
Today's cancellation sees Time After Time become the second show of the season to be pulled early in its run. CBS drama Doubt was yanked last month after just two episodes. Taking over its 9:00pm time slot for now will be episodes of Match Game beginning this Sunday, April 2.

I'm frankly not surprised. Timeless was a great lead in for the season and now we have two more time travel shows on the docket. Between the 80s/90s movie to series overload and this kind of thing (like Chicago Med and Code Black having near identical storylines weeks apart) it's really hard to believe there's much creativity left in Hollywood anymore.

Saw the promo for it, and since it looked like a steaming pile of vomit, I didn't even bother with it. My parents saw 10 minutes and shut it off, and my wife watched an episode before discarding it.

Whst a shame. They didn't give it a chance.

Good riddance. Watched 2 eps and could barely stay awake. This thing might have survived on the CW. I'll get my time travel from the far superior 12 Monkeys and Timeless.

How disappointing! I was really enjoying this show! The cast was great. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Canceling shows is what ABC does best. They didn't even give it much of a chance.

How disappointing! This show had a lot of potential, and was entertaining. So of course ABC wouldn't keep it around. But it keeps utter crap like the Bachelor around forever

Bummer this was s great show w several moving parts. Glad to know it was based on a book I can pick that up. Guess there were too many time shows this year & the last one got beat. Sad a decent show is replaced by crud like match game

This is the reason why I don't watch ABC, they cancel everything.
