The new drama will return for Season 2.
April 3, 2017
USA Network announced today that Falling Water has been renewed for a second season. The supernatural drama premiered last fall to mixed reviews and ended its 10-episode freshman run as the cable network's lowest-rated original series with an average of less than 500,000 viewers.
Joining the series as showrunner for Season 2 will be Remi Aubuchon, who was previously at the helm of Falling Skies. Aubuchon replaces Blake Masters, who will remain on in an executive producer role when the show returns later this year.
Falling Water follows the story of three unrelated people who are each on a different mysterious personal quest using their dreams. Clues they find in these visions help them realize that they are each dreaming a separate part of one common dream. With this knowledge, they find that the deeper they dig, the more their missions touch on stakes that are larger than their individual agendas - and even might hold the key to the fate of the world.

I liked the show but felt they needed to explain more!! I watched every episode and know NOTHING more than when I saw the first one so I hope they reveal what's going on...

I love this show and am so glad they renewed it. It is so deep and complicated, that it took most of the season just to set things up and at the end things were coming together. I can understand some people's confusion, because the main characters were confused over what was happening to them and the audience goes through their confusion, finding out what is happening as they do. I like it that way where I have to pay attention to what is going on and wondering what is happening as it unfolds. If you stick with it, though, it pays off as it does explain itself and is very intriguing and interesting.

I agree with Mr. A 100%. I wanted very badly to enjoy this show and I gave it lots of chances but halfway through episode three, I called it quits. After reading the rest of the responses here, I'm glad I did.

I'm actually relieved to see that I'm not the only one finding this show to be all over the map. I really thought the concept sounded unique and exciting, but the actual show just seemed like a waste of time to me. I often force myself to keep watching shows with the hopes of improvement, but I had to give up on this one.

Impossible to follow the story, or even to find it. What a mish-mash of nonsense. Proves that people will watch anything with a picture and sound.

I agree with Mr. A's report below. I watched it enough to know all the characters and general subject matter but I mostly had it running when I was doing other things because it always lacked anything to grab on to. I was unable to figure out its intent. What was good was the unusual depiction of dreaming and interesting enough characters. Lacking for me was everything else.

I don't know whether this is good or bad news; this show was so complicated it gave me a headache! I'll probably give it a chance for the first couple of episodes at least.

I kind of wanted to like this one but it was just too weird. Every now and then there was some moment of clarity, but it was just WTF about 95% of the time. Some WTF can be good but as far as I'm concerned, when it's constant then you're just wasting your time for something that may never make sense. You're setting yourself up to be left completely unsatisfied.
