The DC Universe comedy is pulled from the schedule.
April 25, 2017
Three episodes ahead of its first-season finale, NBC has pulled Powerless from its schedule effective immediately. The freshman comedy premiered earlier this year as a mid-season entry but through nine episodes has failed to attract a sizeable audience in its Thursday night time slot.
Set in the universe of DC Comics, Powerless follows a group of employees at Wayne Security in Charm City, which is home to a number of superheroes and villains - as well as citizens who are fed up of dealing with the collateral damage of their constant fighting.
It is not clear at this time if the unaired episodes of Powerless will make it to air.

Liked the show. No point watching any new show anymore, they get dropped before they can get a good fan base.

That makes sense Mike. Maybe she or someone close to her auditioned for High School Musical and didn't make the cut. Now holding resentment all these years later. A bitter pill is tough to swallow.

Powerless is an interesting concept showing "normal" characters living in a superhero world. It is just too over the top and doesn't work - especially on NBC. It was obviously not going to make it, but I kept watching anyway. I do get annoyed when networks leave some episodes unaired.

This was known after the first episode. I'm not sure who thought was a good idea. This was not going to work. I think Vanessa did an ok job.

I liked this show if only for its unique concept of regular people living next to superheroes and supervillains. Too bad it's not coming back.

It'll probably get pickup up by DC's new streaming service that they are coming out with just so they have some variety on it.
Honestly biggest missed opportunity not getting Nathan Fillion on an episode or two as Booster Gold

Is anyone really surprised? This is NBC after all...

The Plopster is also confused by the hatred one commenter showed toward Vanessa. What has she done to deserve such wrath?

It was a cute show. I'm with the majority; it wasn't going to win awards but it passed the time with a couple of chuckles.
