The mystery drama will not return.
May 9, 2017
It is being reported tonight that Fox has decided to cancel Sleepy Hollow. The news comes just over a month after the mystery drama aired its Season 4 finale. Considered to be on the bubble for a couple of years now, the network's move to end the show does not come as much of a surprise.
Sleepy Hollow premiered back in 2013 and was a strong addition to Fox's prime time lineup for its initial 13-episode run. Unfortunately it could not keep up that level of momentum during Season 2, though it maintained a respectable level of viewership that easily earned it another pickup. Things were not looking as good by the end Season 3, but despite being the network's lowest-rated drama it was brought back once again. The recently-concluded Season 4 saw the show's lowest ratings numbers yet, which sealed its fate.

I watched the show, but it wasn't going anywhere. It was an odd premise to begin with. I did like the 1st season then after that it was straight down.

I enjoyed the show. But the move to Washington DC was the show's "Jump the Shark" moment, plus Abbie was gone. The season finale ended with no cliffhangers, so maybe the writing was already on the wall.

It was starting to run out of steam during the third season

I agree with cody, but I think it jumped the shark when they revealed that the headless horseman was a whiny little english twit in love with ichabod's wife. I gave up soon after as it became downright silly.

Fox is on a canceling spree. I guess soon we will be hearing from Pete again asking for Fox to bring back The Cleveland Show (TCS).

Not surprised. Season 1 was nice, but it went downhill after that. I gave up during season 3.

If this was among your favorites you need mental health counselling. The show started out ok but rapidly became simply the "monster of the week." No story arc, weak pasted together plot lines. Blech.
