We gave up on the show during this season. So boring. They should have pulled the plug and ended on a perfect note after season 2. The original Curse and the multitude of classic fairy tale characters coming and going was fantastic. After that, the live action Disney cartoons only became increasingly tedious.

The season finale looked almost like a series finale, with loose ends being wrapped up. If they had decided not to renew the show, would the end (where the young girl finds grown-up Henry -- her father!) have been different? With Jennifer Morrison's (Emma) departure, will the show jump the shark? Let's hope not.

Sorry Chrissy but Henry is also leaving the series, as is Belle, Regina's sister (sorry, brain-dead moment), Snow, David and of course Emma. From everything I read the show is going to focus more on Regina, Hook and Rumple. I'm excited to see just what they plan on doing!

Thought this show should have been cancelled 3 years ago but even more surprised it's renewed without Emma, snow, charming, belle, Henry, etc. at least hook will still be there. :/

I'm not completely up to date, but hopefully they focus on Henry. I was getting bored of the Emma storyline anyway. There are so many different fairytales to be told and spun, it doesn't need to simply revolve around them!

Wonderful show!. And it's coming back for a seventh season. Very good news.

Internet says 3 main characters aren't going to be around. Love the show, but past season was dragging until the black fairy story came to play. Hooks story was boring to me also. I wonder how it could get better. It was drawn out just like pretty little liars. Sorry abc

Initially I was upset about the Charming family not being in the next season when speculations of what may come arose. But quite frankly they were plenty of episodes this season where the 3 of them were hardly in them and I realized I didn't miss them.
I'm ecstatic that ABC picked up season 7 and I'm excited to see where they go with the "reboot". I've never been disappointed in what they've done in the past so I trust them to take us on all new adventures!
My only concern: what does this mean for Hook? I need my Colin fix regularly!

Unfortunately without Jennifer Morrison, Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas on season 7 I'm afraid that the series will ultimately turn into the equivalent of Season 9 of Scrubs. I feel that the best route for them if they did wish to continue the series in a reboot fashion, would be if they did a Once Upon a Time in Wonderland type anthology seasons solely focusing on one fairy tale at a time (The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, so on and so forth) and of course since some characters like Mr. Gold (being the Crocodile from Peter Pan as well as The Beast from Beauty and the Beast) some characters would still make guest appearances in seasons, so it would kind of be like American Horror Story. But I don't know, I know that growing up on Disney movies I would love to see more into certain fairy tales focused on that only lasted half a season on Once like Brave, Mulan, Rapunzel to name a few so if it were up to me anthology would be the best option. But we'll see which route they take it!
