No Season 2 for the Stephen King-based thriller.
September 27, 2017
It is being reported that Spike has cancelled The Mist after just one season. The science fiction thriller ran for 10 episodes over the course of the summer with its finale airing in late August. A second season appeared to be in doubt after the show received mixed reviews and failed to draw a sizeable audience.
Based on a story by Stephen King, The Mist followed the story of a family torn apart by a brutal crime, after which an eerie mist rolled into their small town, isolating its residents from the rest of the world. Family, friends, and even adversaries are forced to band together as the rules of society break down, in order to battle the mysterious mist and the threats it brings.

Terry, you want to sound as though you are smart but you really are making a fool of yourself. I cut the cord with my cable company and now use a streaming service. I am saving $150 per month. So why don't you STFU! What an idiot! Cutting the cord means we are no longer paying the extremely high rates of cable companies and pay for the services we want. You are either stupid or a child. Reading your post full of sexual desire for the women on the show, I'd say you're around 12 years old. Grow up.

Not surprised. The show was barely just ok. I really couldn't stand the mom....but then I really didn't care for anyone on the show. They should have stuck to the book more. Might have helped.

I'm not surprised.
The show seemed sucking in the mud or was it mist!!!
Apart from being curious about the menacing dark thing, I found most of the plot line predictable.
Everything shown in those episodes could have been done in 2 or 3 at a far better pace and narritive.
The viewer was left in the dark too long, then we got bored.
Let's hope when it resorected in 15 years they do a better job.

The show had a great premise, but that quickly and unfortunately unraveled. I began to lose interest after ep.103. I originally thought, this was, an end run- limited summer series. How could "The Mist" go on another season? Glad, I gave up, and didn't get hooked.

@Terry You think Aslaug is hot? I way prefer Lagatha. Aslaug is average at best.

I'll miss the hot Mom (Princess Aslaug from Vikings) and the hot daughter. Those of you bitching about Viacom, etc...and claim to be "cord cutters"...LMFAO!!!!!!!!! YOu didn't cut the cord, you are just paying other people your money whether it's for online streaming or some other source that probably owned by one of the big Cable/Satellite/Digital companies anyway, or at the very least paying for a subscription based "channel" on Hulu or Amazon to watch these other paid services. STFU! Cord Cutting is no longer a thing...

The entire show revolved around a super flamboyant, gay kid who raped his best friend, the main character girl, blaming the rape on the "Star Quarterback" who is actually wanted to rape. What could go wrong. This should have never have even been made. The Gay Agenda has sapped the life out of Television, the viewers are tuning out and turning off entire networks its so rampant now.

It was horrid. The show.. not the Mist itself.

The Viacom CEO is destroying their networks by trying to force subscriptions to cable and satellite on people to watch their shows. Pulled daily show from streaming services. Is forcing MTV back to reality shows only. Spike is impossible to watch for cord cutters.
What's next forcing people to go to blockbuster or radio shack to watch Viacom owned channels. He's gonna sink them.
