The comedic late-night series is picked up through 2020.
January 11, 2018
TBS announced today that Full Frontal with Samantha Bee has been renewed for two additional seasons. This means that the weekly news comedy program will be on the air to cover not only this year's midterm elections, but the 2020 election season as well.
The two-year pickup is really a no-brainer for the network considering the country's continued heightened interest in the political landscape. Considering the show's launch in 2016 came at a perfect time to see it reach the level of success it has, it only makes sense to keep it on the air through to what will surely be an intensely-followed run up to the next presidential election.
Longtime Daily Show correspondent Samantha Bee hosts the show, using her unique comedic voice to give a nuanced view of current political and cultural issues. Over its first two seasons Full Frontal has become the fastest-growing late-night show on TV, with each episode averaging 4 million total viewers across the network's linear, video-on-demand, and digital platforms.

My 600 pound life gets better ratings than this show and they renew it. This sums up what is so wrong with TV. Anyone want a TV show on cable? Bad mouth President Trump

Because there aren't enough uninformed 'comedians' recycling 'jokes'. She should go get a job at cnn

I used to be okay with Samatha Bee and John Oliver before the elections, but since then all they seem to be able to do is attack Trump. Its like dealing with a toddler who keeps telling you the same joke over and over... sorry, but i wont be watching anymore...

Samantha Bee is fantastic. She is smart and brave. I don't always agree with her opinions, but I'm certainly OK with her expressing them. She covers stories that aren't covered anywhere else on TV.

This is sad for tbs, usually I enjoy the shows on their network but this one comes off as contentious & condescending. Most importantly it is supposed to be a comedy but is not funny, very one dimensional. Also before the lunatics start calling me names, I did not vote for Trump! I simply am sick of the conformity in Hollywood & especially the lack of originality..

I like Samantha Bee in general. I don't agree with her much of the time. But she's always presented her point of view with some humor and tact. I think one doesn't win opposing viewpoints over by badgering them. You win them over with humor, consideration, and facts. However.... lately.. her show is like a militant terrorist video being distributed to cult members. It's all complete badgering and insulting those who disagree with her. It's changed this last season. Perhaps she's gotten surrounded by too many "yes" people and no one is there to tell her to dial it back a little. Perhaps Trump's election caused an aneurism. I don't know. I just wish she'd go back to trying to "sway" rather than "beat" her point of view into watchers.
